Bens Waterfall

We woke up and went on an adventure to explore the village. Dad showed me a bridge over the river where he used to jump off for fun. Very nice and high. Then we went to look for an awesome waterfall.

On the way we found a small slow worm snake. It was cool but we got to the Waterfall and we climbed up some of the river valley to get to the base then me and dad and mum started to climb back to take a small group photo and I slipped on a slippy log and cut my knee open but my knee was good.

The waterfall is called Grey Mares Tail. It feels like it is raining at the bottom. Logan wants to wander more but we went back to granny Kays for lunch.

    Wow Ben, it sounds like you had a real adventure climbing up to the waterfall. Your knee injury doesn’t look to bad, especiall when compared to your last cut! How did you take the group photo, was someone else there or someone else went with you?

    I think I would have been pretty scared of the snake, is it a poisonous snake? I don’t like snakes.

    Jessie is being really good, Nana is feeding her treats like meaty bones and chicken hearts which she thinks is pretty good. Jessie follows Nana around all the time, if you want to know where Nana is you just have to find Jessie.

    It is great you ae having such a good time, we are looking forward to hearing more of what you are up to.

    Great story Ben. Sounds like a great adventure. I know your dad loves waterfalls so it was a great place to explore with him. Grandad and I are enjoying reading your stories and are so pleased that you are all having a great holiday. It would have been scary seeing a snake in the wild. I didn’t realise they had snakes in Scotland. Keep the stories and pictures coming its so good to be sharing your holiday with you all.
