Meet The Wilsons

Day 3

With an early start we head out of the house to see the motorbikes parade around the village. we grab mark and start walking. we meet up with Elaine and wait and wait. we then move to get a better a view and then we wait and we wait for ages! Nothing happens turns out it was cancelled or something like that so they were just starting the race so Elaine heads back home. We then start walking to see the motorbikes race up a hill.

Dad gives logan, Ben and Jackie the idea to walk on the pipes (the pipes are these huge pipes that go all the way from the dam to deliver water to make electricity). So for most of the way up we walk on the pipes, it’s kinda cool cause there are some bits that have small leaks so it sprays up into the air and looks really cool. Every so often there’s a wall that you have to climb over. We finally make it to the place were the motorbikes race up a steep hill Logan/me, Jackie and Ben sit on this wall (one of the walls on the pipes). Jackie and Ben leave after 5 minutes and sit on the grass but I stay on it for the entire time. It takes a while for me/Logan to understand why some people cheer when they reach the top and sometimes they don’t.

So if your wondering? Heres how it works, they try to get to the top with out puttig their foot down. But if they put their foot down they add more time onto their final time. For example if I put my time down twice it could be two minutes added on (I don’t really know the exact amount they add) Once I/Logan knew how it works it was pretty cool seeing which ones could do it. Later in the day we hear a helicopter  the same colour as this emoji 🚁💛(yellow) going to the motorbike hill so we assume that someone got hurt.

Day 4

The Next Day we went with Owen and Dylan but instead of a hill it’s river. Yes they went up a river. After walking a bit we make it. I climbed up a tall tree to get an amazing view of the race it was the best seat in the house, I did have a little help from dad to get up. While everyone sat on the ground I was doing a little bit of work on this blog but mainly watching the race. Owen and Jackie try to get me down so they can go up but fail in the end.

Dad to get me hobnobs and Pringles while up in the tree. After watching for a while it’s time to go home l jump down and we return home.
